We’re thrilled to announce our sponsorship of the Sophie’s Legacy Pizza Evening with Sophie’s Legacy,, a heartwarming charity event dedicated to supporting families and children in St Mary's hospital on the Isle of Wight.

Who are Sophie’s Legacy?

Sophie’s Legacy was founded in memory of Sophie Fairall, a brave young girl from Stubbington who sadly passed away from cancer in 2021 at just 10 years old. Her family set up the charity to continue Sophie’s wishes: to make life better for children in hospital and their families.

The charity supports families in several ways, including:

• Providing food, treats, and essentials for parents staying on children’s wards

• Campaigning for better resources and play facilities in hospitals

• Delivering comfort packs and support to children and their carers during difficult times

What is a Pizza Evening?

One of Sophie’s Legacy’s regular initiatives is their Saturday Night Suppers. These events bring a little joy and comfort to families staying on children’s wards. Local businesses and individuals can sponsor the evening, funding pizzas that are delivered directly to the hospital for families and staff.

It might sound small – but for a parent who hasn’t left their child’s bedside all day, a hot meal makes a big difference. It’s a way of showing care, kindness, and community support when families need it most.

Isle Shine’s Involvement

We sponsored a Pizza Evening to help provide food for families staying in hospital. Our sponsorship meant that parents and children could enjoy a meal together without worry or expense. It’s a small gesture, but one that aligns with our values of care, comfort, and community spirit— it’s a chance to give back to the community that gives us so much. This event lets us shine a light on a charity that’s making a real difference.
